Build your story bank.
A story bank is a private list of 20–30 reusable stories from your career and life that can fuel months of content. The most repeatable creators are the ones who built this on day one.
How to build it (do this before our onboarding call)
- Open a fresh Notion / Google Doc and title it My Story Bank. Keep this private — it’s for you and us, not the audience.
- Spend 30 focused minutes brain-dumping. For each story, write 2-3 lines max: what happened, who was there, what changed. Don’t edit, don’t pretty it up. We’ll shape it.
- Aim for at least 20 stories. Quantity beats quality at this stage.
Prompts to pull from
Use these as triggers. One prompt usually surfaces 3–5 stories.
Origin & turning points
- The moment you realised you were going to do this for a living.
- A job you got fired from, quit, or walked out of.
- The first deal / client / dollar in your current business.
- A pivot that everyone told you was a bad idea.
- The lowest point — financially, emotionally, or both.
Wins & proof
- A client who got an absurd result — specifics, numbers, context.
- A bet you made on yourself that paid off.
- Something you built that other people now copy.
- A win that looked like luck from the outside but wasn't.
Scars & failures
- A six-figure mistake. What it cost, what you learned.
- A hire that broke something. What you'd do differently.
- A piece of advice you took that wrecked you.
- A version of yourself you're embarrassed by now.
Contrarian moments
- The first time you publicly disagreed with the popular take in your industry.
- A standard practice you've always thought was nonsense.
- What you'd say to your industry's 'gurus' if you had 30 seconds.
Mentors, role models & enemies
- The best advice you've ever been given. Who said it, when.
- Someone you used to admire and don't anymore. Why.
- A competitor or rival who shaped how you operate.
What we’ll do with it
On our onboarding call we’ll go through your story bank together, pick the 5–7 with the strongest pull, and structure them into your first wave of content. The rest stays in the bank as a rolling reserve. You won’t run out of things to say.
